the ouhai olympic sports center, a major provincial project serving the 19th asian games in 2022, is a large-scale comprehensive sports park that integrates "competitive sports, mass fitness, cultural entertainment, tourism, leisure, and commercial exhibitions". covering a total land area of 157,724 square meters (approximately 236.6 mu), the project has a total construction area of approximately 172,000 square meters. the construction includes a 10,000-seat stadium (26,700 square meters), an 8,000-seat gymnasium (20,600 square meters), a 500-seat swimming pool (26,500 square meters), supporting sports buildings (14,700 square meters), an underground basement (74,300 square meters), as well as auxiliary landscaping and supporting roads and bridges. it has hosted major international academic conferences and activities such as wyss 2023, the 2023 chinese advanced materials industry development conference, vision china 2024, and the keynote conference of 2023 world wenzhou people's congress.
